Volunteer

If you have a heart for adoption or a heart to reach out to birth parents going through the adoption process, there are several ways you can get involved here at Embracing Life.    Below are current volunteer opportunities.   Click each opportunity for more information, volunteer hours,  requirements, and how you can get involved.

Prayer Partner – We are a faith-based adoption agency.  We believe that when we pray, God hears us!  (1 John 5:14-15)  Prayer is foundational and pivotal in order for Atlanta to see life become an option through adoption.  Apart from God we can do absolutely nothing for the Kingdom of God.  Join our team and become a prayer partner!

Financial Partner – In order for Embracing Life to continue lowering the cost of adoption, we are asking for financial partners to join our team.  Our financial partners play a big part at Embracing life as they help us fund Shepherd Homes, provide hospital baskets for birth mothers, events, scholarships for adoptions as well as college for birth mothers, and much more.  Will you join our team and become a financial partner?

*Adoption Councilor – Our councilors play a key role at our agency.  We have volunteer councilors who are helping adoptive parents walk through the steps of adoption as well as councilors connecting with birth mothers, helping them make an adoption plan, connecting them with financial aid, and ministering the love of Christ to them.

*Shepherd Home – A Shepherd Home is a place where adoptive minded birth mothers can call home, feel safe, be cared for, and encouraged by Christ Followers. We are looking for several homeowners who have an extra room, the gift of hospitality and a heart to shepherd and encourage these women.

Event Volunteer – Every month we host different events and every month we are in need of people to help us make those events run smoothly.  Events are not only fundraisers for Embracing Life, but a great way to meet and minister to people who attend.

Hospital Baskets – After a birth mother gives birth, she likely does not see her baby.  It’s devastating to us that there are birth mothers leaving the hospital empty handed and empty hearted.  As a small reminder that they are loved and not alone, we want to provide birth mothers with a hospital baskets filled with toiletries and small gifts for when she leaves the hospital after giving birth.  No new mother should leave the hospital empty handed.

If you have other giftings that aren’t mentioned, tell us and let us how God may be leading you to get involved by filling out the contact form below.
